Today we talk thru our music about how we explore themes of addiction, broken promises, and the painful cycle of lying to loved ones while struggling with personal demons. Jelly Roll tell it like the truth with his song “Liar” he confronts his of deception and self-destructive behavior with unflinching honesty. If more people on this earth were more like that, then maybe less issues would occur? Not a single one of us is perfect, would anyone want to be that way? I freely admit that i am as far from perfect as i can possibly be, not ashamed of that. I do my absolute best I can each and every day and that is all i expect of myself. Make my apologies when needed but continue on even when I don’t get my apologies.
On this Monday edition of the Langdon Auger Show, Ward names Ian Thomas and “Painted Ladies” before welcoming listeners to the chat. He invites people to talk or request a song, looks back at music from the 1950s, and later sets aside time for a dance portion. He closes by thanking everyone who tuned in.

That is, of course, Ian Thomas and “Painted Ladies,” and, of course, Ian Thomas, very famous here in Canada. I’m not sure how big he is in the States or anywhere else, but pretty big here in Canada. Of course, his brother, Dave Thomas, is also from SCTV, and Ian has also been on some of the Great White North Bob and Doug shows. Yeah, it’s kind of funny.
But how are you all doing? Welcome to Monday, the 23rd of March. It is pretty much right on the 5 o’clock hour. Thank you all for tuning in. We just had “Tequila” by the Champs, Bobby Darin and “Splish Splash,” Danny and the Juniors, “At the Hop,” and Fats Domino started us all off with “Blueberry Hill.”
How are you all doing? 22 minutes after 5, Oliver has checked in. We would like to welcome everybody that’s tuning in today to the Monday show. And usually the Monday show is kind of one of those that goes all over the place. And we do take requests and all that stuff as well, but we just don’t know where we’re going to head. We’re thinking, but then somebody comes up with something else and it’s just a confusing show, really. It’s just kind of playing music. That’s the key right there: music. So let’s get back to that.

Creedence Clearwater Revival in before that with “Who Will Stop the Rain.” Started off that set with Fleetwood Mac and “The Chain,” of course, from their Rumours album.
