We started the show with a great tune from Blue Rodeo The opening verse reflects Jim Cuddy’s story of how he and his wife originally met while taking shelter from a severe storm. Ultimately, the track is a celebration of soulmates and recognizing a face you’ve “seen a thousand times,” while acknowledging that life often has a way of working out. We also had a song from Roy Orbison and Only The Lonely It highlights that only those who have experienced true heartbreak truly understand the depth of crying for someone out of reach, while acknowledging the emotional gamble one must take to find new romance. Music can and does have to power of bringing the listener along on a journey in the artists real life concerns or wonders.
