Today we went to one of our many Canadian talents in the 80`s with the Payolas 1982 hit “Eyes of a Stranger” explores the dizzying, often unsettling feeling of sudden attraction where the sheer intensity of falling for someone new. When the love interest first enters the room, the singer experiences a visceral, magnetic pull. However, this is quickly replaced by doubt as he takes a closer look at her face. The phrase “eyes of a stranger” describes the disconnect between physical desire and true emotional intimacy. We also celebrated those 3 amazing artists that died in a plane crash 60 years ago today. Of course we are talking about the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly. As Don Mclean said that day February 3rd 1959…the day the music died.
