It's a way to kick off the Langdon Auger Show here on Thursday, April 9th, of course. That is Siouxsie and the Banshees with 'Christine.' How are you all doing? Welcome into mentalhealthradio.ca.

And, as I previously mentioned, this is our last show of this week. We start back up on Sunday at 6 p.m. So if you don't get a chance to check it out, Sunday through Thursday, you'll have five opportunities for which you can come and listen in. And if not, as always, it's on the website under the appropriate day. So if you missed yesterday's show, just go look up Wednesday, April 8th show, and it'll be there for you. So we are just going to continue on with some great music. We're going to start off with a Canadian band called Lighthouse. Great tune from them.

00:15:54

And that is, of course, Kiss. And 'I Was Made for Lovin' You.' Before that, we had U2 with 'Mysterious Ways.' We started off the whole show with Lighthouse and 'You Girl.' How are you doing today? It is Thursday, April 9th. I want to thank you for tuning in. We are here until 8 o'clock tonight.

And then we're taking Friday and Saturday off. Having a first-time Friday and Saturday off. It's weird. It's been a few years since that's happened, so we're going to enjoy that. So don't forget, come back Sunday night starting at 6 p.m. And we'll do this whole week all over again, playing all kinds of great tunes. And we're also taking requests as well. But right now, we've got some Candlebox and 'Far Behind.'

[Timing uncertain.] All the way from London, England, that is, of course, The Dream Academy. "Life in a Northern Town."

Dogstar in before that with their 1996 album, "Quattro Formaggi." And, of course, that was "32 Stories." And that is also, if you did not know, that’s Keanu Reeves’ band. Candlebox in before that with "Far Behind." Just about 6:30 here. I want to thank everybody for tuning in on this Thursday, April 9th. We’re here until 8 o’clock. We’ve got some more music coming your way. James Brown, live.

00:29:18

00:40:40

Their 1990 album, “Shake Your Money Maker.” That is The Black Crowes, and “She Talks to Angels.” Ricky Martin in before that with a big hit out in the clubs, “Shake Your Bon Bon.” And James Brown started off that with “I Feel Good.” Of course, that was the live version. How are y’all doing? Twenty minutes before six.

Thanks again for tuning in. This is technically our Friday show, even though it’s only Thursday. It’s our last show of the week, and we’re going to take the next couple of nights off, so enjoy what we have left for today. But by any means, if you want to go check out any of the shows, they’re under the Langdon Auger Show tablet, and they’ll have all the shows. I think we have 80 of them sitting there. I have to get rid of some of them. Some of them are back in October and et cetera, so save a little storage space there. Let’s get back to the music right now with the “Dreadlock Holiday.” [Following lyrics omitted.]

Incredibly talented Kate Bush, and “Running Up That Hill.” A lot of people are wondering why she hasn’t really toured since 1979. A lot of people say she has a fear of flying. Some people say it’s a medical issue, that she can’t go above a certain elevation. And she was asked, “When are you going to tour again?” She says she’s just not ready. And hopefully, if you ever get a chance and you’re in her home or in her country, she’s kind of doing a little pub tour or something like that, and you can get a chance to see her. Amazing artist.

Michael Jackson in before that with “Man in the Mirror.” 10cc, “Dreadlock Holiday” started it off. We’re almost at our dance portion of the show. So you’ve got this last set to kind of stretch it out, get hydrated, and all that kind of stuff. We’re going to get it going with some Garbage, “Only Happy When It Rains.”

00:57:04

[Interlude or untranscribed audio.]

01:08:15

Of course, that’s Def Leppard with “Pour Some Sugar on Me.” Greg Kihn Band in before that with “The Breakup Song.” And they just don’t write them like that anymore. Garbage started off that set with “Only Happy When It Rains.”

Six minutes after seven now, which means it’s got to be time to do our dance portion of the show. Hopefully you’ve stretched out and hydrated. If not, we’ll give you one more song. Stevie Nicks, “Talk to Me,” to get that ready, because it comes up right after that song.

01:10:00

[Interlude or untranscribed audio.]

01:18:36

[Timing uncertain.] They do a pretty good version of the old Norman Greenbaum song, don’t they?

01:19:16

That’s Doctor and the Medics with “Spirit in the Sky.” Dead or Alive in before that with our dance portion of the show, with “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record),” and Stevie Nicks started off that set with “Talk to Me.”

We got just under 45 minutes left in the show. Still some great tunes coming your way, just like this one right here.

01:19:35

[Audio not transcribed.]

01:32:48

That’s Canada’s very own Econoline Crush and “Sparkle and Shine.” Blink-182. And before that, with “All the Small Things,” The Prodigy and “Firestarter” was in there as well. And we started that set off with the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and “The Impression That I Get.” We got about a half hour left in the show. Thanks again for tuning in, everybody. Hopefully you’ve enjoyed the tunes we’ve had so far. We still got some left, like this one, Carole King.

01:33:15

[Interlude or untranscribed audio.]

01:41:25

That is, of course, taking you all the way back to the golden years of the 1970s and Blues Image. And “Ride, Captain Ride.” Badfinger in before that with “Come and Get It.” And Carole King started us off with “I Feel the Earth Move.”

Got time for one more set before the end of our show. And because we have the new thing that we’re trying on, songs that are over 10 minutes long. Today’s is 11 minutes and 37 seconds. Got to make some room for that. So I got time for one more set. Hopefully you enjoyed this set of music, and we’ll be back to talk to you after that.

01:41:59

01:53:42

Great voice of Brad Arnold and 3 Doors Down, “Kryptonite.” [Opening word unclear.] We lost Brad in February. What a great voice he was. Simple Minds in before that with “Alive and Kicking,” and Tears for Fears, “Mad World.” Of course, Brad died after a long battle with cancer. So it is a reality as we get older. More and more people just keep going. It is one of those things.

I want to thank you all for tuning in, not to end the show on a bad note, because I got a great song coming up to end the show. And, as you know, if you’ve been listening, we’re trying to end the show with a great song that’s at least eight minutes long. Longer the better, but I got one here for today. It’s 11 minutes and 31 seconds. So we’re going to play this.

I want to wish you all a happy mental health. Have yourself a good couple of days off. We’re back Sunday at 6 p.m. Mountain Standard Time, and we’ll go through a whole week again. So let’s end the show with The Friends of Mr. Cairo. Have yourself a good night.
