Todays show is about updating of the show, also our dance portion of the day.

On this archived April 22 show, Ward talks about waiting to get a Count 77 CD and queues up a track with Rick Derringer. He recalls a concert from 1976, invites listener requests and sets aside time for dancing. Later, he explains that a move will interrupt the station and leaves the show’s future open.

About this episode

Ward mentions waiting to get a Count 77 CD and introduces a track with guest Rick Derringer. Later, he recalls seeing Trooper in concert in 1976. Near the end, he identifies Chumbawamba’s “Shake, Baby Shake” after naming What You See Is What You Get.

Before the dance portion, Ward asks listeners to hydrate and get moving. At the time, he says they are moving to a new location and the station will be up and running once Shaw hooks them up. He also says he is unsure how the show will continue.

From her 1989 self-titled album, that is, of course, Alannah Myles and "Love Is." How are you all doing? Welcome to mentalhealthradio.ca. You're listening to now what is starting out as the Langdon Auger Show. And welcome to it. It's Wednesday, April 22nd. Hopefully, you're having a great midweek. And hopefully, you're just doing the downhill slide now to the weekend. We're going to try to bring in some good music for you to help make that ease into the weekend a little bit better. But obviously, we're here for requests as well. So if you want to come down to the live chat room, enter your username. Don't forget to save it. Otherwise, you'll end up like user315 or something like that. And just let us know what you want to hear. And if I have this song, I'll play it. No problem. But right now, let's get some 54-40.

00:04:17

00:16:27

B.B. King, great song. "The Thrill Is Gone." Carole King in before that with "I Feel the Earth Move." And 54-40 started us off today with "Sheila." Fifteen minutes after six. Thanks for tuning in. See, Robin has come in. Thanks for tuning in again, Robin. It's Wednesday, April 22nd. And we are going to be playing music right till 8 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.

And we're going to go all over the place. We're just going to play some good music, I believe. But obviously, if you do want to hear anything, all the way is just to request a song. And if I have it, I got 53,000 songs. Good chance I might have it. You never know until you try. How about some Cowboy Junkies?

00:17:08

[Audio not transcribed.]

00:29:32

[Timing uncertain.] There's, of course, David Bowie and "Fame."

00:29:35

What a great song that is. Billy Preston in before that with "Will It Go Around in Circles." And we started it all off with Cowboy Junkies and "Misguided Angels." Just about 6:30. Thanks again, everybody, for tuning in. We're here until 8 p.m. And, boy, it's been a pretty good day. A little bit rain here and there, and almost that slushy. You know, not quite snow, but it wasn't rain. You know, that kind of thing, but seems to be clearing up pretty good here. Let's get back to some music with some Free.

00:30:07

00:40:25

One of Joe Walsh's many bands that he has played in, not only the Eagles, but the James Gang. And that is a great tune with "A Walk Away." Grand Funk in before that with "We're an American Band." And Free started off with "All Right Now." 20 minutes now before the top of the hour, which means we're almost getting to the point where it's our dance portion of the show. So a little bit of preparation there. Make sure you all stay hydrated. Kind of start moving. Get that blood circulating. All that kind of stuff. Because we're not that far away from it. Let's get ready for some more music. Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts right now.

00:53:40

Great tune there. One of my favorite Don Henley songs, other than his Beatles stuff, of course, but that's "The Boys of Summer." Stevie Nicks in there as well with "Stand Back." Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts started off with "A Crime Against Love." We're just about eight minutes before the top of the hour. We have time for one more set of music before our dance portion of the show. So stick around and make sure that you are all ready to go, because, you know, it could be quite a workout for you. We'll have to see.

Anyway, if you ever watch the show "Counting Cars," I've been waiting to get one of their CDs. Of course, it's Count 77. So we're going to play one of them with special guest star Rick Derringer on it. So that's coming up in this set as well. But first, The Counting Crows.

00:54:34

[Audio not transcribed.]

01:06:51

Of course, Germany's very own Rammstein and "Du Hast." The song is about a gentleman that's gonna get married. He's not sure if he really trusts his lady that he's marrying, and it's like, do, "Du hast." It's like, do you or don't you love me? type thing. And it's actually, if you read the story about that song, and I know it, the German, the German lyrics, but still, it's actually a great, great, great song. Once again, gets lost in the translation because it's a very heavy metal song. But in before that we had Count 77, of course, Danny Koker from [Counts?], uh, our [Counts Custom Cars?] on History Channel in there with “Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo,” along with, uh, Rick Derringer, the original person that did that song, and Counting Crows with "Rain King." Well, guess what that means? It's time for the dance portion of our show, so hopefully you did a little stretching out, and hopefully you got hydrated, because here it comes.

01:08:03

[Audio not transcribed.]

01:20:09

Gloria Gaynor and "I Will Survive." What a great song that is. Haddaway in before that with "What Is Love." And we started that dance portion of our show off with Alan Parsons' Project and "I Wouldn't Want to Be Like You." 20 minutes after 7 now, which means we only got about 40 minutes left before our show comes to an end. I want to thank everybody for tuning in.

01:20:32

Tomorrow we do it. It's our last show for the immediate future. We've got to take next week off because Shaw comes between Monday at 8 a.m. and Friday 6 p.m. And, of course, we are moving to a new secret location. That's right. Suspense is killing everybody I know. But we're just not sure how we're going to move forward with the Langdon Auger Show. The radio station, of course, will be up and running as soon as Shaw hooks us up.

01:21:02

We're just not sure how we're going to go forward with the Langdon Auger Show. So stay tuned for that, of course. Check out the Facebook page, Langdon Auger Show. Or, if you know me personally, check out my personal Facebook page. Or, [Hey Cafe?] also has one as well. Back to the music. Coldplay.

01:21:21

[Interlude or untranscribed audio.]

01:31:27

That's The Presidents of the United States of America with "Lump." And before that, we had Weird Al Yankovic doing a parody of the Avril Lavigne song, "Complicated." And that one's called "A Complicated Song." And we started it all off with Coldplay and "Yellow." It is a half hour left in our show, so we don't have much more time to be chit-chatting. Just more music, please.

01:31:51

[Interlude or untranscribed audio.]

01:42:20

By the Eagles, and a great tune there, “Tequila Sunrise,” and before that we had Three Dog Night. [Timing uncertain.]

01:42:26

[Timing uncertain.] with "The Show Must Go On." Trooper started off that set, and I did see that concert, 1976, two for the show. And what a great concert it was. And then I seen him at [Emmy Lizard?] High School a month after that as [Applejack?]. So it's kind of, kind of a weird time back in the mid 70s, wasn't it? Um, what do we got? Oh, we only got like 20 minutes left, and of course we're ending the show with that eight plus minute song, so Robin's got a great one for tomorrow. So if you want to find out, yeah, check it out, tomorrow's event. But for right now, let's get some 10 CC.

01:43:01

[Audio not transcribed.]

01:51:38

From What You See Is What You Get.

01:51:41

That is Chumbawamba and "Shake, Baby Shake." Billy Joel in before that with "You May Be Right." And 10CC, "Good Morning Judge." That's it for me today. I want to thank everybody for tuning in. This was the Wednesday, April 22nd show. And happy mental health to you. We're going to end the show with a great tune from the Doors. And "When the Music's Over."

01:52:04
