Featured Artists: Candlebox, Keith Urban, Pete Townsend.

Today is the start of our week and Sundays always seem to be a bit of a lazy day but, it all goes out the door when that 6pm mst get close. Love doing this show and all the possibilities of different set of music, talking about the meanings of songs because music has such an influence in my life. All the songs have a meaning, whether it is this for one person or something totally different for someone else, that is the magic of Music. As you can see by todays featured artists there is quite a variety between each and everyone. Candlebox wrote an amazing so “Far Behind” written about on of the Seattle grunge bands influences who had died of a heroin overdose. This is not a new theme when it comes to being in the spotlight and being addicted to something that has a hold of someone. Keith Urban song “Better Life” is all about Co-written with Richard Marx, the track emphasizes that steadfast faith and emotional support matter more than immediate wealth when two people are starting out together. Also we had Pete Townsend from his concept album White City: The Novel and “Give Blood” Lots of core themes in this song, The Futility of Sacrifice, Ingratitude of the Establishment, Human Solidarity. David Gilmour appears on this song and Pete jokingly told David to play some rhythm guitar while he screamed Give Blood a few times before the concept of the song came to him but overall it hits some tough lessons and remains one of my favorite songs.
