There is one thing that drives me nuts, that being when you are awaken at night by dreams that just send you way back to a time in the past that was not a good time. Not like a nightmare, those usually come and go but i mean those that keep you up at night. They won’t let you get back to sleep so you have to stay up till 5am just to try and get tired again but the dream haunts you. Quite annoying to say the least. More annoying than that is the religious manipulation, the government distractions or the corporate exploitation that happens non stop in todays society. Granted it has been happening a long time before this modern time but it is really prevalent in todays world. Ok so i am an old guy who sees the world thru non rose colored glasses but age has it’s benefits. Songs like Live “Selling The Drama” from their Throwing Copper album says it in a absolutely beautiful way, we need to stand up and be counted. No longer should we allow any of the above mentioned keep happening to us as a general society. People are suffering out there, whether it is personal trauma, or isolation which surrounded us with strangers and unfamiliar surroundings, we realizes we are completely alone, symbolizing crushed expectations and the painful transition into society just makes it so hard to crawl out and it should not be that way. Life is precious and it is a right! No longer should governments, corporate or churches be allowed to do the harm they are doing. But that means we have stand tall…are you ready to stand tall?
